About the Model The BBX is Tamiya's latest rear-wheel drive buggy, a powerful model inspired by Stateside full-size single seater racing buggies. It is based upon the realistic BB-01 chassis, which features a lower deck with flat underside, mounted upon which is a roll cage, frame and suspension; the battery pack is in a longitudinal position, and the motor is placed at the very rear, giving the rear traction a helping hand. The sealed gearbox contains a ball differential, while four aluminum cylinder oil dampers ensure exemplary performance. Our designers selected front double wishbone (A arms, 25-degree caster) and rear trailing arm (adjustable) setups for the suspension, and the stylish body is a polycarbonate six-piece design. |
★Left: Remove the rear roll cage screws and it swings up to give access to the motor. ★Right: The BB-01 chassis offers great suspension stroke and tread, making it the perfect off road partner. |
